Why You Should Get Modular Furniture
Now if you’ve been to big furniture stores, you’ve probably seen those detachable blocks of wood either stacked on a flat surface or stuck to a wall and you’ve probably wondered, what are they good for? Or those sofas with pullouts, or foldable chairs and tables and thought, why would anyone want to buy deconstructible furniture? Well, why not? These stackable, buildable furniture (called modular furniture) are now all the flare in the furniture industry– and rightly so. We’ll tell you why.
Modular furniture are furniture which can be attached and rebuilt to serve certain, different functionalities.
These furniture are called modular because they can be individual pieces that can function separately as they are, or have an altogether new function when merged and stacked with other, complementary pieces.
A modular table can come with a single hollow, rectangular block of wood that has complementary or purchaseable pullout drawers to serve various functions across different rooms. With the drawers inside, the table can function as a side drawer or a console table. Without the drawers, the piece can act as either a study table or a stand.

Very nice and economical, right? But it doesn’t end there. The wood blocks that come with your table can also be attached to walls to hold plants, speakers or displays.

Modular furniture isn’t just about blocks of wood that can transform into different tables though, they also have sofa equivalents. Think of large attachable and detachable L-shaped sofas to suit different layouts… But they’re not just movable cushions that are good for different sofa configurations, they can be dining chairs too!

These modular sofas are composed of multiple single-seaters, with center seats (no left/right armrests) and corner seats (with left/right armrests) that you can arrange and attach together, to form a 3 or 2-seater, or an L-shaped sofa. The fabric covers are also replaceable and washable, so it’s sky’s the limit when it comes to color.

Having said all of these, modular furniture are definitely popular right now because of the condo living trend and their economical benefits, but let’s answer the question: why should you get modular furniture?
Modular furniture are for people who have smaller rooms or spaces to work with, and they’re for people who are always moving. They’re especially for people who do not exactly know what table to get for a certain room and function. Because modular furniture can be assembled and disassembled at will to suit different purposes, they’re flexible and they morph for the user’s needs, not the other way around. Our furniture should help make a space livable and efficient, it should not complicate a space or a room.

Actually– even if you’re not quite like what’s mentioned above, you should still consider getting your own modular furniture, because they make spaces fun and very flexible! They’re also for people who want to get creative in decorating their space.
Getting modular furniture is also the right decision for budget-conscious people because one piece comes bundled with multiple purposes. Think of those multi-purpose travel bags you can put your gadgets or toiletries into. Modular furniture doesn’t ship out as just one type of furniture, they can be reconfigured to suit both you and the room itself.
